Hi,

Trying to git-mirror the SVN repo to a Windows Cygwin installation generated this error:

/cygdrive/c/home/src>git svn clone --stdlayout http://svn.ruby-lang.org/repos/ruby

mkdir .git/svn/tags/v1_3_1"_990201: No such file or directory at /usr/sbin/git-core//git-svn line 2131

As far as I can tell this is due to an embedded " in this SVN tag. It only fails when trying to check out to a Windows filesystem, which it will not accept a " in a filename.

This problem is caused by the tag:
http://svn.ruby-lang.org/repos/ruby/tags/v1_3_1%22_990201/

Suggest a rename?
