Currently it works with at least version 22 of GNU Emacs, but there's no policy that this will continue in the future. So it would be helpful to keep a copy in Ruby's SVN that is the last-known highly-compatible revision as Akinori suggests. But the copy in Ruby's repository should contain an explanation of the situation. I've attached a patch for this. -Phil --=-=-= Content-Type: text/x-diff Content-Disposition: inline; filename=ruby-mode-header.diff diff --git a/misc/ruby-mode.el b/misc/ruby-mode.el index 39fc4a6..0b8ed82 100644 --- a/misc/ruby-mode.el +++ b/misc/ruby-mode.el @@ -1,9 +1,50 @@ -;;; -;;; ruby-mode.el - -;;; -;;; $Author$ -;;; created at: Fri Feb 4 14:49:13 JST 1994 -;;; +;;; ruby-mode.el --- Major mode for editing Ruby files + +;; Copyright (C) 1994, 1995, 1996 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, +;; 2002,2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 +;; Free Software Foundation, Inc. + +;; Authors: Yukihiro Matsumoto, Nobuyoshi Nakada +;; URL: http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/RubyMode +;; Created: Fri Feb 4 14:49:13 JST 1994 +;; Keywords: languages ruby +;; Version: 0.9 + +;; This file is not part of GNU Emacs.
