PS If anyone in the UK wants to see this problem in action, go into your
local pub and look for a Gamesnet cabinet with a game on it called 'World Cup
Trivia'-- okay so you'll have to put in 50p to play and be fairly
knowledgeable about football to get anywhere :-) but you can clearly see on
*all* the animation that it jumps every 1-2s. That jump is Ruby's garbage
collector. But hey, without Ruby there'd be no game there at all, and those
cabinets vary so much in CPU speed that most of the games on them have
animation problems, jumping movies, interminable loading delays etc.
