From: Phil Hagelberg Date: 2008-05-28T08:35:44+09:00 Subject: ruby-mode.el copyright assignment A few months ago there was discussion about moving Ruby's Emacs mode into the Emacs codebase instead of Ruby's.[1] Unfortunately this seems to have stalled. I'd like to see this happen, but a couple things are still pending: (0) - The contributors need to assign their copyright on ruby-mode.el to the FSF. It sounds like this would just be Matz and Nobuyoshi Nakada. Can you two contact Chong Yidong (cyd@stupidchicken.com) to get this process started? (1) - ruby-mode.el needs to be better-documented. I'm happy to be in charge of this task and have begun to add the appropriate docstrings in order to ease the maintenance burden. I will submit a patch here once this is ready. It would be great if inf-ruby.el could also be submitted to Emacs. According to the comments Matz, Nobu, and someone named "senda" are the main contributors to this. If I could get Senda's contact info we could perhaps add this as well. -Phil [1] - http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-devel/2007-06/msg00051.html
