Subject: Testing hangs latest ruby 1.9

When testing locally built ruby with make check,
one of the tests appear to hang in an infinite loop.
The test is: (from test_knownbug.rb)

assert_normal_exit %q{
   g = enum_for(:local_variables)
   loop { g.next }
}, '[ruby-dev:34128]'

My system is a 1GHz eMac with the latest Apple suftware updates to  
10.5 Leopard
and a G4 PowerPC cpu.
