I suspect you are right; I'm just asking standard QA "attack" style questions. 
You have an "end case" - the beginnings and endings of an array - and the -n 
changes the behavior of the array within.

Do you have a test for your change?

Another question: What would -n test_nope do if test_nope did not exist?
