Subject: initialize_copy and singletons

It seems like a singleton class is not searched for initialize_copy.   
Is this an oversight or is there a rational for making an exception  
for initialize_copy?
There is no difference between 1.8 and 1.9 in this regard.

class A
   def initialize_copy(other)
     p 'A'
     super
   end
end

module B
   def initialize_copy(other)
     p 'B'
     super
   end
end

 >> A.new.dup
"A"
=> #<A:0x10845d4>

class C < A
   include B
end

 >> C.new.dup
"B"
"A"
=> #<C:0x106f88c>

 >> A.new.extend(B).dup
"A"
=> #<A:0x1062fec>
