it seems to be still in flux (10 commits in the last 10 hours), so I
suggest it's better to test against the HEAD.

by the way: all tests except the force_encoding knownbug run through on
i686-darwin9.1.0 (Mac OS X 10.5/Dual Core). shall we start a test fest? ^_^
