From: Brent Roman Date: 2007-12-16T04:53:47+09:00 Subject: What purpose does struct FRAME's tmp pointer serve? The struct FRAME looks in Ruby 1.8.6 like this: (excerpted from env.h) extern struct FRAME { VALUE self; int argc; ID last_func; ID orig_func; VALUE last_class; struct FRAME *prev; struct FRAME *tmp; //<--- what does this do? struct RNode *node; int iter; int flags; unsigned long uniq; } *ruby_frame; I cannot find any code that sets frame->tmp to any value other than 0 I've only searched in core. Is it used by some extension library? Or, did I just overlook something? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/What-purpose-does-struct-FRAME%27s-tmp-pointer-serve--tp14354467p14354467.html Sent from the ruby-core mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
