From: "Berger, Daniel" Date: 2007-12-06T00:49:04+09:00 Subject: Idea: always yield current thread to Thread.new Hi, I find this idiom bit tedious: Thread.new{ Thread.current['foo'] = 'bar' } What about always yielding the current thread as the last argument? # With no arguments Thread.new{ |curr| curr['foo'] = 'bar' } # With some arguments Thread.new(x,y){ |x,y,curr| curr['foo'] = 'bar' } I'm guessing there are issues I haven't considered, but I thought I would at least toss this out there.
