From: Brian Candler Date: 2007-11-18T03:41:49+09:00 Subject: Failing to compile trunk under Ubuntu I tried compiling trunk yesterday and today, on two different Ubuntu 6.06 machines, and got the following error: $ svn co http://svn.ruby-lang.org/repos/ruby/trunk ruby-trunk $ cd ruby-trunk $ autoconf && ./configure && make ... gcc -g -O2 -I. -I.ext/include/i686-linux -I./include -I. -DRUBY_EXPORT -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -c parse.c parse.c: In function yydestruct: parse.c:4204: error: parser undeclared (first use in this function) parse.c:4204: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once parse.c:4204: error: for each function it appears in.) make: *** [parse.o] Error 1 As you can see, ./configure was successful so didn't report any missing dependencies. Any suggestions what I'm missing? I have 'bison' and 'flex' installed, so I can't think what else might be missing. Thanks, Brian.
