Wow.  Published two weeks ago.  That's what I call timely.

I had managed to find  rb_backtrace() and the rb_eval_string() but the
link you supplied contains many new nuggets. 
One thing that continues to elude
me is how to get the backtrace of a specified thread
 (not Thread.current).  Any ideas?

Seems like the only way would be to change context
without doing the longjmp() at the end.
