call and send seem to be words from different OO languages for the same
thing.

Maybe instead of the cumbersome invoke_method, have #send as it is
currently, #call (respecting visibility) and #call! (not respecting
visibility)�

I would never guess from the names that send and invoke_method behave
differently, and I like the use of the bang.
