From: Trans Date: 2007-11-01T06:25:33+09:00 Subject: Two Issues (open-uri's respond_to? and autoload's require) Hi-- I'd like to bring attention to two bugs in hopes the can be fixed in the next release cycle; both of which are causing me issues at the moment. The first is open-uri's use of respond_to? instead of is_a? to test if a module has been used to extend an object. I recently brought this up on ruby-talk:275190. The second is that autoload doesn't appear to use the the normal #require method when it is triggered. So one can't override #require and have autoload reflect the new behavior. Either it needs to use #require, or it needs to have it's own special method that can be overrode. For the last issue I added a ticket to Ruby's bug tracker. I did not do so the for the first however, since it's a very easy problem to fix. Thanks, T.
