Initially, the only option I gave to configure was program-suffix=19. I got a crash when I ran the interpreter and fed it one line of code (puts yo). I since tried to recompile without ext/tk and with --disable-pthreads, but I still get crashes in the same place. Heres the backtrace: #0 0x6b41b3a5 in rb_sourceline () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #1 0x6b418ff1 in rb_eval_string () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #2 0x6b5e69a4 in cygruby1919!Init_tcltklib () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #3 0x6b4c8f0f in cygruby1919!Init_ext () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #4 0x6b4837b9 in ruby_init_loadpath () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #5 0x6b484dc2 in ruby_init_loadpath () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #6 0x6b484e90 in rb_load_file () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #7 0x6b4846ef in ruby_init_loadpath () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #8 0x6b48542b in ruby_process_options () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #9 0x6b418c35 in ruby_options () from /home/aivanov/src-ext/ruby-trunk/ruby/cygruby1919.dll #10 0x0040109c in main (argc=1, argv=0x662d88, envp=0x660090) at main.c:46 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Anton Ivanov (anton_ivanov) Date: 2007-04-19 21:48 Message: Follow up: I had a typo in my configure command: it should have been --disable-pthread. Now when I try that, the build fails: make: *** No rule to make target `thread_.h', needed by `error.o'. Stop. Also, as the backtrace shows, I haven't really disabled tktcllib... I commented out the line 'tk' from ext/Setup, what else do I need to do? I suspect the crash is caused by the fact that my tcl is not compiled with threads... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://rubyforge.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1698&aid=10238&group_id=426
