Those of us who build ruby regularly have been eagerly downloading and 
testing these releases, but I wonder about something...

How widely tested on Windows are these releases? Are there enough 
Windows developers who build from source (rather than use the OCI)?

There don't seem to be any 1.8.6 binaries on the ftp site 
(ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/binaries/mswin32/). I'm not personally 
asking for these binaries (I've got msvc6, so I could build them myself, 
presumably).

What will the situation be when the 1.8.6 OCI goes out... how many 
different windows boxes and ruby programs on windows will have actually 
been tested against 1.8.6 at that point? Should the OCI beta sequence be 
synchronized with the ruby beta sequence? (I hesitate to suggest that 
because I don't have the skill or time to help out!)
