Subject: Ruby 1.8.6 delayed for seven days

I am afraid I have to announce that Ruby 1.8.6 final release will be
delayed for seven days, considering that some bug fixes applied after
the last preview (1.8.6-preview2) are yet to be fully and widely
tested.  There are also some patches awaiting review before committing
that fix remaining bugs.

Instead of the final release, I will release the third preview this
weekend, hopefully tomorrow evening in JST, which is expected to be a
release candidate.  After five-odd full days of public preview and
testing, the final release will take place.
